In collaboration with Yayra Agbofah of Revival and Prof. Claudia Schwarz of Media Design University, I curated a transformative lecture series centered on sustainable practices, the environmental impact of the textile industry, and the potential for global partnerships. Primary I was responsible for structuring the course, selecting key topics, and ensuring the content addressed the urgent environmental challenges shaping our world today.
My goal was to foster a dynamic workshop environment that brought together insights from industry professionals across the Global South. This cross-cultural exchange enriched the students' learning experience, inspiring them to view collaboration as an essential tool for driving sustainable transformation in the textile sector.

Working closely with Yayra Agbofah, a West African expert with firsthand experience in the challenges of fast fashion, textile waste, and the unique impact of these issues on Ghana’s textile industry, we integrated invaluable real-world perspectives into the curriculum. Yayra’s expertise in practical solutions provided students with innovative strategies to mitigate the environmental toll of the textile industry, particularly within the context of Ghana’s challenges.
Equally crucial to the course was the guidance of Prof. Claudia Schwarz, whose deep knowledge of sustainable design and fashion management anchored the lectures within robust academic frameworks. Her contributions ensured that students not only understood the urgency of the issues at hand but also developed the necessary tools to drive systemic change within the industry.
By the end of the course, students had acquired practical tools—from sustainable material management techniques to strategies for fostering international partnerships—that they could apply directly to their careers. This experience empowered them to approach future industry challenges with a global, sustainability-driven mindset, preparing them to become the next generation of leaders shaping the future of the fashion industry.
